Former WWE Champion may return this week on Raw after two months amidst his tensions with CM Punk and Seth Rollins.

Roman Reigns has not been seen on WWE programming since the Royal Rumble. He was eliminated by CM Punk and ate a double stomp on the arena floor from Seth Rollins. The 39-year-old is undoubtedly going to be a big player for WWE heading into WrestleMania. Thus, tonight’s edition of Raw could be the perfect time for him to make his return.
Following Punk’s scathing promo on Raw last week, WWE announced that the Best in the World would face The Visionary in a steel cage match next Monday. Reigns could make his return during this match and reignite his rivalry against Seth Rollins. Furthermore, the OTC also had a heated interaction with the Straight Edge Superstar after the latter eliminated him from the Rumble match. The Samoan may also be looking for some revenge against the Chicagoan native.
Reports in the past have stated that plans for WrestleMania dictate a triple-threat match between Punk, Rollins, and Reigns. Either disrupting the steel cage or even showing up following the bout could be a great way to kick off this three-way feud for the Showcase of the Immortals.
WWE has also advertised Reigns’ appearances on multiple televised shows during the European tour. This all but confirms that he will have a match at WrestleMania. Rollins and CM Punk look to be the most likely candidates to be his dancing partners for the biggest show of the year.
Roman Reigns asserts that “The Big Dog” is dead
Long before he was known as the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns wore protective vests and sometimes even blue contact lenses. He was not nearly as loved as he is today, either. In fact, he was despised by the loud crowds and often booed out of buildings. The WWE Universe complained that The Big Dog was being shoved down its throat and did not want him in the main-event picture.

During a recent video with IGN, Reigns was seen reacting to memes about himself. Of course, it was only a matter of time before one of the memes showed him in his old gear. Seeing this, he asserted that The Big Dog was dead, and he didn’t even see him anymore. In fact, he said that the other persona of him never existed in the first place and did not happen.
There is no Big Dog. He’s dead now.

Reigns returned to WWE at the end of SummerSlam 2020 following a hiatus due to medical concerns. He immediately turned heel and aligned himself with Paul Heyman. Soon, he became known as the Tribal Chief, set a record-setting world championship reign, and has main evented every WrestleMania since the heel turn. Despite turning into a bad guy, the 39-year-old was never loved by fans as much as he was during this time period.
