Roman Reigns Dared to Protect His Legacy by Holding His Own Against CM Punk Without the Help of The Usos
Roman Reigns has been asked by Big E to leave his cousins behind and take the bull by the horns in his CM Punk feud.

- Roman Reigns confronted CM Punk on Raw after escalating tensions involving the Usos.
- Big E questioned Reigns' legacy, suggesting it should be evaluated if he relies on the Usos for support.
- Tommy Dreamer criticized the Usos' involvement, claiming it undermined their status as babyfaces in WWE.
Roman Reigns finally snapped at CM Punk on this week’s Raw after having several back-and-forth exchanges on the mic. Reigns went berserk on Punk after Jey Uso started screaming at him to inflict a beating on the World Heavyweight Champion owing to the disrespect he had hurled at their legendary Anoa’i family.
The Usos‘ involvement in this feud became inevitable the moment they dropped Punk to the floor for bringing up their late uncle and Reigns’ father, Sika. And it turned into a 3-on-1 situation for CM Punk this past Monday, where he got annihilated by Roman Reigns. But how has it made Big E question the legacy of ‘The OTC’?
Speaking on the Raw Recap, the former WWE Champion clarified that wrestling legacies aren’t always defined by the number of world titles one has but also by their command of the microphone and the ability to hold one’s own.
Former WWE Champion Big E says it might be time to start questioning Roman Reigns' legacy if he can't face CM Punk without the Usos being involved:

E stressed that Reigns’ legacy should be questioned if he continues to get bailed out by his cousins every now and then. The former New Day member affirmed that while Paul Heyman was an integral part of the often-romanticized Summer of Punk when the Chicagoan held the WWE title for 434 days, the ‘Second City Saint’ has remained a solo act for the majority of his career.
Big E wants to see some of that from CM Punk’s WrestleMania 42 opponent in the twenty-odd days that are left until it’s showtime in Las Vegas. Because if Reigns claims to be the greatest of his generation, he has to show the entire world that he could hang in with arguably the best trash talker in WWE right now all by himself.
E therefore hoped for these men to have an intense face-to-face conversation in one of the upcoming episodes of Raw and see who comes out on top. This coming Monday at Madison Square Garden, the fans could expect WWE to pull out all the stops for adding even more fury to its WrestleMania main event. It would be interesting to see how they do it.
Tommy Dreamer disapproves of The Usos’ role in Roman Reigns beatdown of CM Punk
As seen in the closing moments of this week’s Raw, CM Punk was berating Roman Reigns and his family. ‘The Best in the World’ claimed that anyone in that dynasty couldn’t do anything on their own and that he’d fight every one of them, starting with Jey Uso. ‘The Yeet Master’ confronted the 47-year-old and was ready to throw down with Punk until Jimmy Uso walked down to calm his younger brother.

‘Big Jim’ told the former World Heavyweight Champion to focus on their tag team title defense against the Vision and leave Punk for Roman Reigns. ‘The Tribal Chief’ also wanted to do it alone, and he asked Jimmy to leave the ring along with his hotheaded brother. Just then, Punk flippantly asked the Usos to stay back because their cousin would need their help.
It made Jey go ballistic, and he ran toward Punk. ‘The Straight Edge Superstar’ decked Uso with the microphone, and all hell broke loose after that. The Usos didn’t partake in the beatdown of Punk, but Jey was literally imploring Reigns to decimate the former AEW star. And this didn’t sit well with Tommy Dreamer, as he thought that WWE lost a babyface in that very moment with the former ‘Right Hand Man’ calling for violence.
The ECW Original said in his assessment of the segment on Busted Open Radio that the crowd was firmly yeeting when Jey came out, and the fans were disgruntled by the end of the night, as per Dreamer. However, the Boston crowd was chanting “one more time” after seeing Reigns powerbomb Punk through the commentary table. So they clearly enjoyed what they saw.

Circling back to Dreamer, he stressed that he doesn’t want The Bloodline to formally unite at WrestleMania as it’s been teased strongly. ‘The Heart and Soul of ECW’ stated that Reigns, Jimmy, and Jey are already elevated to a great degree, and he’s unsure about them getting back together to help the cause any further. Dreamer was very disappointed in what he believed was WWE losing babyfaces in both Jimmy and Jey on Raw.
