Roman Reigns appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Thursday to promote his WrestleMania clash with CM Punk. ‘The OTC’ was asked by host Fallon if he had anything to say to Punk. Reigns wondered if it was midnight, and after realizing it was almost 12, the former Bloodline leader looked in the camera, calling Punk by his government name, and figured he must be asleep.
Reigns asked the ‘Best in the World’ to get all the necessary rest that he sorely needed before stepping into the ring with the ‘Tribal Chief’. The Anoa’i family wrestler doubled down on his insult of calling Punk old before stamping his bigger star status over the Chicagoan and asserting that’s why he was on The Tonight Show and not Punk.

Reigns burst into laughter along with Fallon as soon as ‘The OTC’ trolled his WrestleMania opponent. In another excerpt from his appearance on NBC, Reigns talked about the origins of the Samoan Drop wrestling maneuver. ‘The Head of the Table’ credited his late father, Sika, for inventing it back in his days.

Reigns, in that very moment, brought up how Punk made a very derogatory remark about his heavenly dad a few weeks ago in which the ‘Second City Saint’ vowed to bury Reigns next to Sika. ‘The Big Dog’ said he might shatter Punk with the Samoan Drop about fifty times at WrestleMania in what would be a poetic revenge for Punk disrespecting his late father.
Reigns finally snapped at Punk on Raw this past Monday. He entered the ring with the intention of handling business on his own, which is why he asked Jimmy Uso to leave alongside his younger brother, Jey Uso. ‘The Best in the World’, however, quipped that the Usos stayed back as their cousin would need their help, and that was the final straw for Jey.
‘The Yeet Master’ made a beeline for Punk only to get dropped, and Jimmy charged at the world champ in retaliation. It allowed Reigns to take a cheap shot by hitting the Superman Punch on the ‘Second City Saint’ from behind. ‘The OTC’ again pointed at Jimmy to hold Jey back and clear the ring.
By then, Raw GM Adam Pearce had already intervened with other WWE officials in order to diffuse the situation. However, it went in vain after Jey Uso implored Roman Reigns to destroy CM Punk.
Roman Reigns details his WrestleMania 42 workout regimen
Roman Reigns caught up with TMZ Sports for a quick chat while he was exiting Del Frisco’s in NYC. ‘The Tribal Chief’ detailed his current workout regimen for WrestleMania 42. Declaring that the workout plan he’s currently on is taxing, Reigns revealed that he’s working out three times in a day, which includes two rounds of 45-minute-long cardio sessions, one in the morning and one before going to bed.

There’s also a 2-hour-long workout session in the middle of the day for Reigns. The meals that he’s having are all curated by his dietician and prep coach. They’re focused on macros and high proteins with a little infusion of carbs and just the right amount of fat to keep him physically stable.
When asked about how this year’s WrestleMania showdown with CM Punk is any different than his previous ones, Reigns affirmed that they just keep getting bigger and bigger every year.

‘The OTC’ mentioned that it’s going to be his 11th time closing out a WrestleMania. Coming to Punk, Reigns said the former AEW star isn’t the athlete that he is. But the 40-year-old did say that Punk’s a great competitor in addition to being an industry veteran and a savvy individual.
‘The Tribal Chief’ admitted that he’s got to be very careful and keep his emotions in check against someone like Punk, whom Reigns deemed adept at making one slip in crunch moments.
At the end, Reigns said that he’s planning to smash the ‘Straight Edge Superstar’ and is truly focusing on just that. Punk and Reigns will be in the house for this week’s Raw at Madison Square Garden, and the fans should expect more fireworks with both of them present under the same roof.
