Roman Reigns Critiques WWE’s Star-Making Machine
Roman Reigns has dropped some truth bombs regarding WWE being unable to create new stars in the period he was majorly absent from its programming.

While SmackDown was airing live from Riyadh, Roman Reigns joined The Pat McAfee Show in the meantime on ESPN. The 40-year-old will partake in today’s Royal Rumble match. Regardless of the outcome, ‘The OTC’ has already caused a stir with some of the comments he made on McAfee’s show.
First of all, he admitted the past two years haven’t seen him put in the same amount of work that he’d been doing before. Diving right back into character, the Pensacola-born wrestler said he did so because he’s a generous tribal chief. Roman Reigns underscored that the younger talent would always complain about people like him hogging the limelight on WWE television.
So the longest-reigning world champion of the modern era stepped away and left an opening for those who were whining about the lack of opportunities to showcase what they had in themselves.
These young talent, they say we hog all the TV time. They’ll complain about one thing and I leave an opening and give them plenty of space to create whatever type of superstardom they want. Get over, kids. Get over. We’re two years here now. We haven’t advanced. We haven’t evolved. We have great leadership. Nick Khan, God bless him. What a businessman. He’s a genius, but we have to be able to keep up creatively.

Reigns claimed that the WWE hadn’t advanced and evolved in those two years when he was mostly off its programming. ‘The Tribal Chief’ subtly took a dig at the company’s incompetence in creating new stars. And addressing the shortcomings of such names that couldn’t capitalize when they should have, Reigns quipped by saying, “Get over, kids. Get over.”
"All these guys are just grasping onto relevancy..

While the former Bloodline leader praised the WWE president, Nick Khan, for being a marvelous businessman, the Anoa’i family stalwart didn’t speak highly of the company’s creative direction in general. He asserted that WWE would need to keep up in that department as well.
That rather blunt but brutally honest statement triggered an online debate about Roman Reigns taking a swipe at WWE CCO Triple H, who has received unprecedented fan backlash over the past year or more for his booking decisions.
Does it outright imply that Reigns is at odds with ‘The Cerebral Assassin’? The fans are certainly digging into it, with some of them conjuring up a theory that ‘The OTC’ isn’t happy with Paul Levesque due to the latter scrapping Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes III at this year’s WrestleMania.
‘The Game’ allegedly believed that doing it would lead to audience fatigue. Circling back to Reigns’ aforementioned conversation, he added that whenever there’s a creative void in WWE, people like him, who are striving to be the greatest, can’t just sit at home. ‘The Head of the Table’ said he couldn’t stand mediocrity.
Roman Reigns talks about possibly working with Brock Lesnar in the Royal Rumble match
There will be every man and woman for themselves in the two Royal Rumble matches today. But one could definitely expect some temporary alliances flaring out during the course of them. Is there anyone that Roman Reigns would like to cling to? The former Shield member was asked about it on The Pat McAfee Show with a mention of Brock Lesnar.

For the unversed, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ announced his Royal Rumble match entry via a FaceTime to McAfee a few days ago while he and his crew were on air. In his response, Reigns joked that he was caught off guard by the fact that Lesnar even owns a phone and knows how to FaceTime.
Roman Reigns on whether he and Brock Lesnar could work together to clear the rest of the field in the Royal Rumble:

"There's no way I could work with Brock. He's one of my greatest rivals. I can't trust that guy. He was literally just competing with all the Vision boys."

‘The Big Dog’ thought it would be a tedious process to contact the UFC Champion, as he spends most of his time on his farmland in Saskatchewan. Having laughed about it for a while, ‘The Tribal Chief’ simply denied working in tandem with ‘The Conqueror’ even if they came across each other in the Royal Rumble match.
Reigns hailed Lesnar as one of his greatest rivals and reminded everyone that he recently competed alongside The Vision at Survivor Series. Reigns said he couldn’t trust him at all.
