Roman Reigns has been dominating WWE for over 4 years now. His iconic run as The Tribal Chief has been legendary and has defined being a ‘heel’ in sports entertainment. However, when he lost the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania XL, fans knew that there was a high chance that Reigns would return as a babyface. Recently, The Needle Mover talked about this successful transition from a villain to a hero.

Speaking on Bloomberg Power Players, the Head of the Table said that he enjoyed playing a heel in WWE. He added that the business was at its peak when he was playing the villainous role of The Tribal Chief. Reigns revealed that it is comparatively easier to play babyface. He has played both; hence, the future looks bright, said the former Undisputed Champion.

Well, the business was its most successful with me as a heel but, you know, the future looks bright so we’ll see. I think babyface is an easier side to actually perform in, but it’s so much more fun as a bad guy.

The former Bloodline leader returned to WWE at SummerSlam. He has yet to speak a word on the mic ever since then. His last appearance was on SmackDown a few weeks ago, where he was brutally attacked by Solo Sikoa‘s crooked Bloodline.

Nonetheless, the Head of the Table has always been a real-life babyface as well. He recently showed up at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and surprised pediatric patients with a pizza party. At the moment, there is speculation that his next on-screen appearance will be on the SmackDown Premier on USA Network. It is going to be interesting to see the future of the ‘Original Tribal Chief’ in WWE from here on.

Roman Reigns talked about WWE’s transition to Netflix

WWE is all set to move to Netflix in 2025. In January, Monday Night Raw will be heading to the streaming giant for their weekly shows. Speaking on Bloomberg Power Players, The Tribal Chief stated that moving to Netflix doesn’t mean the content is going to be edgier than the current one. He said that WWE has set morals and values, and the programming will work around them only. Although the company is planning to target a newer audience as well, the challenge would be to incorporate the edginess within the limit.

So, I think there’s gonna be a nice little range there that we can play with and push the envelope in certain senses but I think we need to stick to our values and kind of the morals we’ve set in place and the culture that we have now.

Moreover, Reigns said that he has always liked the programming being PG. The former Undisputed Champion claimed that there is a challenge in performing in sports entertainment within the PG guidelines. Therefore, it is a welcome challenge for him to come up with something. Roman admitted that this has always been an interesting part of the job.
