Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE programming since being speared to oblivion by Bron Breakker on Raw following WrestleMania 41. And considering how his former ‘Wiseman’, Paul Heyman, betrayed him and aligned with Seth Rollins in Night 1’s main event, fans expected the former WWE Champion to be back by now. While the company has yet to confirm an official return date for ‘The OTC’, new reports suggest a potential feud is already being planned for him once he’s back.
During the WrestleVotes Q&A on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, it was revealed that Reigns is likely to continue his ongoing feud with Seth Rollins on Raw. Host Joe Lowry put up the important question about Reigns and his future, to which the guest pointed towards Reigns going after his former Shield brother.
Joe, I think just because the numbers look right, you know, Jimmy, Jey, Roman, Jacob Fatu, 4 on 4 looks, but I think he’s gonna go, like we said last week, towards Rollins. I think he’s got the payback. So, I’m not sure he jumps back into this Bloodline story. Although the numbers are there, like they are saying in a potential 4 on 4 match, I just don’t see him going back into Bloodline business. I think he’s going to focus on Paul Heyman.

While some fans have speculated that ‘The Tribal Chief’ might align with Jacob Fatu following the recent twist in The Bloodline storyline where Fatu dropped the United States title to Solo Sikoa owing to the return of Tonga Loa and the PLE debut of Hikuleo, that scenario appears highly unlikely. As of now, Reigns is reportedly set to target ‘The Visionary’ and his new faction of Bronson Reed and Breakker moving forward.
WWE has been subtly planting the seeds for a Reigns vs. Rollins feud over the past few months. ‘The Architect’ has repeatedly claimed credit for sending ‘The Head of the Table’ home permanently and frequently responds to “OTC” chants during live events, further stoking the flames of their rivalry. With tensions simmering, there’s a strong possibility that the promotion could escalate this storyline in the coming weeks as SummerSlam approaches.
Moreover, WWE is set to host its biggest SummerSlam in history this August as a two-night special at MetLife Stadium on August 2 & 3 in New York, with expectations of showcasing some of the year’s most high-profile matches. Given the magnitude of a potential Reigns vs. Rollins showdown, it wouldn’t be surprising if WWE books the clash for ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer.’ Outside the ring, Reigns is getting all but good news.
Roman Reigns welcomes his sixth child into the world amid WWE break
Roman Reigns has been on a prolonged hiatus from WWE, a break that has drawn frequent criticism from fans. However, this time, his absence appears to be for a meaningful reason. ‘The OTC’ recently welcomed his sixth child into the world with his wife, Galina Becker.

During the same edition of the WrestleVotes Q&A, host Joe Lowry revealed that amid Reigns’ ongoing hiatus from the Stamford-based promotion, ‘The Tribal Chief’ has welcomed his sixth child. This joyful milestone is believed to be one of the key reasons behind WWE extending his time away from the ring.
Reigns and Becker, who tied the knot in December 2014 at Disney’s Castaway Cay in the Bahamas, have built a quiet, family-first life away from the spotlight, despite Reigns’ global stardom. The arrival of their sixth child is yet another major development in the life of the former Undisputed WWE Champion, coming shortly after the announcement that he has been cast in a prominent role in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. However, fans want to see Reigns back in the ring as fast as possible.
Roman Reigns to make his return at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta?
WWE is expected to feature Roman Reigns on the SummerSlam card, and if the company plans to build a major storyline around him, the groundwork needs to begin soon. With that in mind, there’s a strong possibility that fans could witness ‘The OTC’s’ long-awaited return in the coming weeks.

At Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12, Seth Rollins is scheduled to face LA Knight in a high-stakes grudge match. With WWE potentially looking to elevate the show as a major event leading into SummerSlam, there’s growing speculation that ‘The Needle Mover’ could make his return during this bout, possibly costing Rollins the match.
Such an angle could be a solid build for a potential clash between ‘The Visionary’ and ‘The Head of the Table’ at The Biggest Party of the Summer. Nonetheless, it is just a speculation at the moment. For now, though, only time will tell when the former WWE Champion will make his long-awaited return to WWE.
