After getting mauled by The Vision at Clash in Paris last month, Roman Reigns finally made his return to WWE programming on this week’s Raw in North Carolina. ‘The OTC’ emerged during the closing moments of the show and crashed a tornado tag team match featuring his cousins, The Usos, vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed.

Reigns had brought a steel chair with him. He dumped Breakker to the outside before flattening Reed with several chair shots to his back. The brawl spilled over to the ringside area, where Breakker failed in his advances to blindside the former Bloodline boss.

Reigns remained a step ahead of ‘The Unpredictable Badass’ and sent him inside the ring for the Usos to do the rest. Jimmy Uso caught his chin with a superkick, followed by Jey Uso nailing Breakker with a spear.

And just like that, ‘The Yeet Master’ picked up the win for himself and his twin brother. But Reigns wasn’t done as he doubled down on Breakker with the steel chair before ultimately sending him out of the ring with an unrestrained swing at his back.

What followed that was eyeball-grabbing. ‘The Tribal Chief’ exchanged some words with his former right-hand man, Jey, and was visibly proud of the intensity he had shown in recent weeks.

They hugged it out with ‘Big Jim’ looking puzzled in the background. He didn’t join Reigns and his younger twin, and that’s where things might get interesting. It’s an established fact that Naomi‘s husband still doesn’t trust Reigns, and he’s even had arguments with Jey Uso of late over the latter’s actions since he received that pep talk from the ‘Head of the Table’ a week before Clash in Paris.

Seth Rollins tells the real reason for helping Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40

While Roman Reigns hasn’t held any championship gold in WWE since last year’s WrestleMania 40, he continues to cause collateral damage with the kind of hegemony he once had over the roster. As is known, Reigns met his match in Cody Rhodes, who, at the time, was pretty much backed by everyone whom Reigns had wronged along the way.

And many believe that Rhodes wouldn’t have been able to slay ‘The OTC’ if it wasn’t for Seth Rollins. Who could ever forget that dramatic ending sequence to Reigns vs. Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, where ‘The Visionary’ sacrificed himself for the greater good of the industry?

Even though it was Rhodes who eventually pinned Reigns, the latter wasn’t completely outplayed by the American Nightmare’s wizardry. In fact, the ‘Tribal Chief’ couldn’t let go of the years of animosity he had harbored for Rollins for what he did to The Shield in 2014.

On this week’s Raw, Rhodes brought up how Rollins, his friend, helped him get past the menace of Roman Reigns at the Show of Shows in Philadelphia. ‘The Architect’ cut Rhodes off on the mic and asked him to shut up.

The World Heavyweight Champion affirmed that he never considered Rhodes as his friend, nor will he ever raise or shake his hand in the future. Rollins claimed that he shielded the former AEW EVP in his quest to finish the story against Reigns just because he was the lesser of the two evils.

Based on the fact that ‘The OTC’ is still not done with Rollins’ faction, it’s believed that both of them are primed to collide in a singles match at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas. They came face-to-face on Raw some weeks ago.

However, Reigns couldn’t get his hands on Rollins, as he retreated with immediate effect. The former client of Paul Heyman has yet to get his revenge on the current client of the so-called Wiseman.
