The Bloodline is a completely unprecedented storyline in WWE. No major storyline in the promotion has lasted for over four years and featured a plethora of characters with so much depth. Of course, a huge part of making this saga successful was Roman Reigns, who recently commented about his opinion on the story and how he became the top star in the company.
Speaking on Sports Illustrated, Reigns expressed his gratitude for how much the fans loved this story and how it had been going on for so long. Furthermore, the diverse characters kept it going strong even when the OTC had to take an absence from WWE programming. This was especially true when he disappeared after his loss at WrestleMania XL. Even without the promotion dropping any major hints, there had become a huge build-up regarding his return.
When Roman Reigns finally showed up at SummerSlam after being gone for four months, the pop was unparalleled. Although he was one of the most vile heels of the 2020s, he became a babyface almost overnight without showing any good behavior. He believed that this simply spoke to all the hard work and dedication all of them had put into making the Bloodline successful.
Today, Reigns is still arguably the biggest superstar in the company, even without his title. He is back with his OG Bloodline, only this time as good guys. However, things are not any easier for them as they are soon about to head into a WarGames match at Survivor Series against the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline.
Is Roman Reigns about to lose his Wiseman, Paul Heyman?
A week ago on SmackDown, Paul Heyman made his much-anticipated return to WWE programming. As always, he proved himself to be the difference maker by finding a fifth teammate for the OG Bloodline in the form of CM Punk. Although the Wiseman seemed happy to help his Tribal Chief, there may be more to this story than meets the eye.
Reigns recently stated that he had found Heyman’s behavior highly shady since he returned. This perhaps indicates that the Hall of Famer may be up to something no one knows about yet. Furthermore, CM Punk is not the kind of benevolent babyface who goes around helping others. There must be something at stake for him if he decides to take part in this match.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, Punk said that Heyman would owe him a favor for taking part in the WarGames match. After the Second City Saint walked away, the Wiseman refused to tell Reigns what this favor was. Perhaps the Best in the World has asked his former manager to leave the Bloodline and join him on his journey once again.
