When not setting the stage ablaze in WWE, Roman Reigns likes to bestow smiles on his fans. This time around, the 39-year-old stopped by the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital nestled in his hometown of Florida. He not only visited the pediatric patients over there but also arranged a pizza party for those kids. The JDC hospital’s Instagram page shared some photos of Reigns putting a little sunshine on the affected souls.

For the unversed, the WWE Superstar has endured some personal losses of late. Back in June, he lost his father, Sika Anoa’i. Over a month later, Roman went on to make his long-awaited WWE return at SummerSlam after a tantalizing 118-day hiatus. Merely a few weeks had passed before his uncle Afa’s demise, too, had the family down in the dumps. But that didn’t stop him from being a philanthropist, as evident from his latest visit to the suffering children.

The erstwhile Tribal Chief is expected to be off WWE TV for quite a while. He was recently taken out by the new Bloodline upon the restraining orders of Solo Sikoa. Roman was dialed in despite having a 3-on-1 disadvantage with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa—no match for The OTC. However, out of nowhere, Jacob Fatu, who had been absent since SummerSlam, blindsided Reigns from behind.

Roman basking in the adulation of the crowd after salvaging the revered Ula Fala from Sikoa didn’t last long. Fatu took care of the Georgia Tech alumnus. The Samoan Werewolf smoked Roman like no one has in quite some time. It led to a brutal beatdown of the former Bloodline boss by members of his own dynasty. The final nail in the coffin was a powerbomb through the commentary table that sent him packing from the show.

A peep into history as Roman Reigns’ historic title win turns 4-years-old

Exactly four years ago marked the beginning of The Roman Empire. He beat Braun Strowman and the late Bray Wyatt‘s version of The Fiend at WWE Payback to become the new Universal Champion. In a reign that engraved his name in the history books, Roman Reigns kept the title intact for an unfathomable 1316 days.

That means he’s now the fourth longest reigning World Champion in WWE history. It could’ve gone on for way longer had it not been for Cody Rhodes staging an upset for the ages at this year’s WrestleMania.

The American Nightmare fulfilled his prophecy of being the first Rhodes to have held a world title in pro wrestling. Though Reigns has already warned Cody that it’s only a matter of time before he gets the gold back, The Needle Mover is way off target with a slew of family drama on the plate.
