Rob Gronkowski wants the Las Vegas Raiders to honor Davante Adams’ requests and trade him to a team that he wants to play for. It may well be with Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets.
Ever since the Raiders’ Week 3 loss to the Carolina Panthers, every morsel in and around the NFL has been talking about a potential Davante Adams trade. It caught extra wind after head coach Antonio Pierce announced the all-pro receiver’s unavailability for the Cleveland Browns game due to an undisclosed injury.
Former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski has been through all of this while moving from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and winning his fourth Super Bowl. Gronk wants something similar for Adams.
From Gronk’s perspective, Adams deserves to win a Super Bowl because of his contributions to the game of football. So, the Raiders should only trade him to a championship contender.
Gronk thinks Davante Adams could have a reunion in New York the same way he reunited with Tom Brady in Tampa. ?

Insider provides an update on possible interested teams for a Davante Adams trade
Pierce has also ruled the 31-year-old out for the Raiders’ Week 5 fixture against the Denver Broncos. According to reports, Adams has a hamstring problem, but on the side, they have also allowed him to seek a trade partner.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini shared the news on Wednesday.
Teams having conversations with the Raiders about Davante Adams have been informed his hamstring injury is expected to keep him sidelined 1-2 weeks. I’ve been told this is a real injury. He is expected to miss this week, but could be back next week if there are no snags.

Russini also posted the names of interested teams who have approached the former Green Bay Packers wideout.
The Jets and Cowboys are among the many teams monitoring the Davante Adams situation. Both have checked in with the Raiders. I’m told at this point that Vegas is in no rush to make a move until a team reaches their asking price — but Adams wants out ASAP.

The latest addition to that list is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in trading for Davante Adams, according to a source. There have been discussions and both sides are keeping an open line of communication.

The Jets seem to be the likeliest destination because of Aaron Rodgers’ presence in the Big Apple. They have been waiting for an opportunity since the off-season began.
Rodgers even hinted at a reunion with a former teammate while playing golf at Lake Tahoe. It eventually comes down to money, as Adams is owed $13.5M for the rest of the season. (That will drop by $970K per week).
