Antonio Pierce, with a straight face, has a ‘blunt’ response to all the Davante Adams trade rumors

Looks like head coach Antonio Pierce hasn’t gotten his memo regarding Davante Adams‘ trade from the Las Vegas Raiders. That’s probably why, he subtly dismissed the question when asked about the trade rumors ahead of the upcoming matchup against the Denver Broncos.
The trade rumors of the veteran wide receiver have been around since last season, but both he and the team have dismissed them. Until now, the Raiders have been reportedly approaching teams across the league with a trade deal for the three-time All-Pro receiver. Interestingly, the report came a day after Pierce liked a social media post, suggesting Adams might have played his last game with the Raiders in week 4.
While Adams shared not having any conversation with the Raiders head coach about this, Pierce deflected addressing any question on the subject. During a recent press conference, Pierce was asked about Adams’ trade speculations of this week, but he diverted from answering it by saying that he is focused on the upcoming game against the Broncos.
“Davante’s dealing with a hamstring,” said Pierce about Adams’ availability in week 5.
He’s rehabbing, and the rest of us are focused on Denver.

He also didn’t answer whether the veteran will be available at the Raiders facility, straightway and said, “He’s supposed to be rehabbing.” Pierce made it clear that he wouldn’t share any opinion or suggestions regarding the ongoing drama between the Raiders and Adams, instead he will focus on the thing he is being paid for– the football matches.

While the Raiders first-year head coach dodged all and any questions regarding the six-time Pro Bowler’s future in Las Vegas, he was asked about his relationship with Adams. However, his response appeared quite vague– leaving it open to speculations that he is asked not to touch the subject of Adams during any media interactions.

The reporters’ questions about Adams and Pierce’s relationship arose from the former’s recent interview with the Up & Adams show, where he shared that he hasn’t spoken to the latter since his IG activity. Perhaps, it may remain a mystery just how close this quarterback and head coach duo truly is, as the veteran star awaits the new chapter in his professional life.
