Ever since the news about Las Vegas Raiders considering trading Davante Adams came out, that’s all everyone has been talking about. The star veteran is looking for a fresh start as they are approaching teams across the league to get better draft capital.
In the recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith proposed the name of Dallas Cowboys openly, suggesting the three-time All-Pro wide receiver join. Since Adams has officially requested a trade from Las Vegas, the sports analyst believes that the ideal spot for the receiver is the Cowboys, as only he can end their long-standing Super Bowl drought.
Hinting the threat Dak Prescott and Adams can bring together, Smith gave an open and much-needed advise to the Cowboys front office– to pitch themselves before the six-time Pro Bowler.
Not only the Raiders wideout will form a formidable duo with the Cowboys quarterback, but the latter will also have two reliable and dynamic receiving options– Adams and CeeDee Lamb– to throw the ball on the field.
What are the potential landing spots for Davante Adams?
Although acquiring Adams wouldn’t be easy for the Cowboys, there’s already a queue ready. The leading one is the New York Jets, where Adams’ former teammate Aaron Rodgers has been convincing him to join since the beginning of the 2024 offseason.
Besides the Jets, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers are also in the line. The odds for a trade between Las Vegas and Kansas City is slim, given the two are rivals, which left the Jets and Steelers as top prospects. Between these, the Jets are the top landing spot for the veteran wideout.
