The Las Vegas Raiders got back on track with a win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 4 after an unpleasant loss the week before. The win, somehow, is not the titular storyline for the Raiders this week – it is Davante Adams.

Davante Adams joined the Raiders in 2022 after spending seven years in Wisconsin playing for the Green Bay Packers. When signing, the Raiders made Adams the highest-paid receiver in the NFL, then with a five-year, $141.25 million contract. Two years later, there’s only bad blood and sour chemistry.

There have been rumors of a potential trade in the off-season for far too long, however, the Raiders have been putting them to rest for some time. It seems that the Antonio Pierce comments of players taking business decisions and the latest social media snafu have catalyzed the situation.

The recent update from Vincent Bonsignore of The Las Vegas Review-Journal points out that the Raiders might be switching their stance on that.

In light of this, the recent comments by Davante Adams in the Up & Adams Show by Kay Adams have lit rumors of a potential move to the New York Jets. Adams, while reminiscing, praised Aaron Rodgers‘ ability to learn from mistakes and use them to his advantage and help the team do so as well.

Aaron is the type of guy, he may be in the huddle, and he’ll tell you a two-minute situation with 46 seconds left in the game. He’ll say ‘Hey Tae or (Jets wide receiver) Garrett (Wilson), you remember back in 2022 when we got that one look, and you didn’t look quick enough? I need you to get your eyes around quick.’ Filing that away in your memory bank, dealing with the elephant Aaron Rodgers you got to be able to recall and correct some of those mistakes.

It prompted the host to ask Adams directly if he missed Rodgers as a follow-up question, and the wide receiver grinned before admitting that he did. Rodgers and Adams spent years in the Packers before both of them went different ways.

How could you not? You know, how could you not?

Gardner retweeted a post about Adams by the Bleacher Report, attaching an image of a tattoo. The tattoo shows a baby making a hushing gesture. Though the meaning is unclear, the message has sparked conversation among Jets and Raiders fans.

As the wide receiver entered his 11th season and his time for a Super Bowl is closing in, Adams is listening to multiple options. The New York Jets, who are looking to end a Super Bowl drought with Aaron Rodgers in the center, are gaining traction as an option.

Earlier, Adams also noted that he would love to play together with Rodgers as per The Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt. All said and done, there is no doubt it will be fun to watch how this trade plays out.
