The Las Vegas Raiders are set to lose superstar wide receiver Davante Adams. The three-time All-Pro has now formally handed in a trade request ending weeks of speculation over his intent to stay at the franchise.
Now with the team actively looking for trade partners, talks surrounding a reunion with Aaron Rodgers at the New York Jets are picking up steam, leaving young corner Sauce Gardner excited.
In a bid to show his excitement, the star defensive back reposted Bleacher Report’s post announcing the formal trade request. Sauce Gardner added a picture of a tattoo on his left hand that depicts a child with a finger on the lips. This is a subtle yet obvious hint that his team are actively trying to get Davante Adams to New York.
Such a move will also help alleviate any chemistry building issues the Jets offense has as of now. Adams could end up helping stud young wideout Garrett Wilson who has not been happy, a move that his team leader Aaron Rodgers would love.

The two produced some of the best football during their time with the Green Bay Packers. Ever since the Adams was traded away to the Raiders, fans and media have constantly tried to figure out if he wants to leave. As it is difficult for one of the best receivers in the game to play with any other quarterback after tasting what it can be with Rodgers.
This season too, the rumors were ripe. Then his demeanor in their Week 3 loss to the lowly Carolina Panthers prompted suggestions that he was done. He did not suit up for their Week 4 win due to injury. But that did not stop the speculations from mounting.
Davante Adams’ move to New York Jets may not solve all their problems
While the addition of Davante Adams will upgrade the New York Jets receiving core, the team has other issues to solve if they want to win a Super Bowl. For starters, the offense has not been clicking on all cylinders despite having a much-improved offensive line and a decent receiving core.
Adams alone will make an improvement. But will it be enough is another question mark.
Secondly, the defense has not been consistent week in and week out. Head coach Robert Saleh‘s defensive genius is yet to show completely. In addition to the defensive problems, the team is struggling with discipline. Those issues showed their ugly side in their embarrassing loss to the Denver Broncos last weekend.
That brings the team to the most important problem. After that loss, both Rodgers and Saleh blamed each other for the mistakes. Unless the entire organization can work together, all the talent in the world might not be enough.
