Since last season, Davante Adams’ potential departure from the Las Vegas Raiders has been a topic of discussion. But the veteran and the team have denied the trade rumors, until now as the Raiders have been exploring the option.

When the Raiders traded for Adams from the Green Bay Packers in 2022, they had high expectations from the veteran star wide receiver. However, since it was the same year the quarterback room struggle began in Las Vegas, Adams struggled to make a significant impact on the team. And now, the team seems to believe moving on from him is the best course of action.

In his recent appearance on The Up & Adams show, the veteran was asked about the ongoing speculations swirling around the internet that he has played his last game with the Raiders, in week 3 against the Carolina Panthers.

All I can control is the next thing I’m on to. So, I’m gonna get up in a minute and go get a nice workout in, and… that’s all I can control.

Previously, the three-time All-Pro receiver has assured fans that he is sticking with the Raiders, even when his former teammate Aaron Rodgers was convinced to join him in the New York Jets. But this time, he seems to have taken a page out of Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott, and focus on things in his control, now that the Raiders are reportedly ready to trade him.

Davante Adams addressed Antonio Pierce’s IG activity

While the Raiders have been approaching teams to trade Adams, head coach Antonio Pierce liked a post, suggesting the receiver played his last game with the team in week 4. When Adams was asked about it, he didn’t seem surprised in his interview with Kay Adams

I haven’t heard from him. I haven’t talked to him. I don’t really know what that’s about. Social media’s a beast. A lot of people saw it, wondering what’s going on and people reached out. But I haven’t spoken to him.

Adams shared that the team hasn’t spoken to him on the subject, and neither did his head coach Pierce. This certainly surprised Adams but when she asked if this is normal, the 31-year-old refused to comment further. He seems to be ready for the trade, to explore the next chapter of his life.
