What happens in Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas it seems. The drama revolving around Davante Adams, the Vegas receiver is heating up. The 31-year-old could suit up in a new outfit anytime soon.

Adams has been linked with multiple teams. The primary includes the New York Jets where he can join his old teammate Aaron Rodgers. Both Rodgers and Adams have expressed interest in this trade. NFL Analyst and broadcaster Stephen A. Smith expressed that the Dallas Cowboys should bring him to Texas to end their championship drought.

Robert Griffin III has joined the chat suggesting that the Kansas City Chiefs should do anything to bring Adams as a potential help for Patrick Mahomes. The wide receiver depth in the reigning champions is shrinking day-by-day with Rashee Rice taken out during the win against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Through the first four weeks, the Chiefs are 11th in passing yards per game (215.8) and 14th in points per game (23.0). Wide receiver Xavier Worthy has been the primary playmaker for quarterback Mahomes, averaging 17.1 yards per catch and 13.8 yards per touch. However, the Chiefs still need a solid receiver to help manage the loss of the injured Rice.

Griffin noted that although the Jets seem like the perfect match, he advised Adams not to choose another misery from misery. He pointed out that Kansas City are on the verge of doing something that no team has ever done.

I know Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers are like peanut butter and jelly. A perfect match. But going from the Raiders to the Jets would be trading dysfunction for dysfunction. The Chiefs provide an opportunity to make history and be a part of the 1st 3-peat EVER. Teams have made trades to their division rival before. If the Raiders only care about compensation for him the Chiefs should be trying to join the Adams Family.

The Chiefs not likely an option for the frustated Davante Adams

Although it seems a perfectly good option for Davante Adams, it is highly unlikely that the Raiders will trade him to the Chiefs. Raiders might be hesitant to share a potential weapon with a division rival – the Chiefs and Raiders play in the AFC West.

NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that the defending champions are “not expected to be an option” in any potential trade including any deal involving the All-Pro pass catcher as per sources. He earlier had put across New York Jets and New Orleans Saints are the top on the wishlist of the Californian.

Kansas City has yet to take any action following Rice’s injury. They are also missing Hollywood Brown and Isiah Pacheco as well. However, it appears more likely that general manager Brett Veach will promote a wide receiver from the Chiefs’ practice squad instead of pursuing a trade for an established player like Adams.
