WWE recently held the 2024 edition of NXT No Mercy on Sunday, September 1st. The show featured Roxanne Perez defending her NXT Women’s Championship against Jaida Parker. The match ended in a chaotic manner, and the champion successfully retained her title after hitting her opponent twice with the Pop Rox. However, the 22-year-old would get no time to rest as Giulia made her entrance shortly after.
The Popular Troublemaker emanated from the smokescreen and entered the squared circle. She had a face-to-face confrontation with Roxanne Perez and will likely be the next challenger for the NXT Women’s Championship. After the show, The Prodigy poked fun at the former NJPW Strong Champion for taking so long to show up.
The Japanese-Italian superstar signed with the company in April 2024. However, she has not made any major appearances on WWE programming. The 30-year-old was briefly shown in the crowd during NXT: Stand & Deliver. However, she had no idea that she was on the screen at that point and thought that the cheers were meant for The Rock.

Stephanie Vaquer and Giulia have been two of the biggest signings for WWE over the past few months. Fans were dying to know whether these two would spend time in developmental or be sent straight to the main roster like Jade Cargill. Although there is still not much clarity regarding the Chilean’s future plans, the former NJPW star will spend some time in NXT.
Triple H and other WWE superstars welcome Giulia to NXT after her debut at No Mercy
Giulia is arguably the biggest female signing for WWE since Jade Cargill. Thus, her first major appearance on WWE programming was celebrated by many members of the locker room. WWE CCO Triple H himself believed that not just the former NJPW star but the NXT women’s division as a whole was going to have a very bright future.
Bayley also shared her thoughts on X and lauded praise on the NXT Women’s Champion. She believed that the incredible work done by Perez during her title reign was the reason that the 30-year-old was drawn to NXT.
The developmental brand’s General Manager, Ava Raine, also posted a photo alongside the Gladiator of Glorias and Shawn Michaels, welcoming her after her debut at NXT No Mercy.
