Russell Westbrook is a former MVP, 9-time All-Star, and 9 All NBA honoree.
Russell Westbrook emotional message
Russell Westbrook was one of the most energetic superstars in his prime. Westbrook is a former MVP and is the leader in triple-doubles scored. Westbrook joined the Los Angeles Clippers in 2022-23 season after a bitter ending with the Los Angeles Lakers. Later, he was traded to the Utah Jazz, who waived him off.
Russell Westbrook was recently traded by the Clippers again to the Utah Jazz for a package deal for guard Kris Dunn. Jazz will again be waving Westbrook off his contract after which he is expected to join the Denver Nuggets. After he departed from the Clippers, Westbrook penned an emotional goodbye to the Los Angeles Clippers and its fans. In the message, he thanked Steve Ballmer the owner of the Clippers, and the whole Clippers organization.
Westbrook was a valuable part of the Clippers. He might not be the Russ that he was during his time in the Oklahoma City Thunder but he still managed to give valuable numbers. During his time with the Clippers, he averaged 11.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists. Fans even saw Westbrook coming off the bench after the James Harden trade.
Westbrook is currently 35 years old and isn’t the same explosive point guard that he was in his old days. He will be a role player wherever he goes and can help the team with his mid-range shooting and post-game.
Russell Westbrook expected to join the Denver Nuggets
After his departure from the Clippers, Russell Westbrook is expected to join the Denver Nuggets to team up with the current MVP Nikola Jokic. Westbrook can be a great addition to the team and will be a valuable asset.
With Jamal Murray in the point guard position, fans can expect Westbrook coming off the bench for the Nuggets. Westbrook doesn’t mind taking a small role and coming off the bench as fans have seen with Clippers. The veteran can be a great 6th man for the team and add the extra energy when needed.
Westbrook is a former MVP, 9-time All-Star, and 9 All NBA under his name. His veteran experience will be invaluable to the team. Fans are hoping to see Westbrook finally win his first NBA title.
