Does Russell Wilson Feel Threatened by Jaxson Dart’s Presence in Giants Quarterback Room?
Russell Wilson isn't bothered about the future; he is more concerned with delivering his best in the present.

In May, former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel hypothesized that Russell Wilson was on a timer when the New York Giants selected Jaxson Dart in the first round. From Daniel’s point of view, a team drafts a quarterback in the first round to make him the franchise quarterback.
According to reports, Dart performed admirably in the first five days of the OTAs, taking frequent reps with some of the first-team players. Wilson also looked sharp, and his deep balls were picture-perfect.
Since 2020, quarterbacks selected in the first round typically become starters by Week 3. [Wilson’s] leash [is] three weeks.

However, does the veteran quarterback fear the rookie may take over if he underperforms even for one moment? Wilson prefers to give his best in the present and avoid fretting over the future. When reporters asked him about being on his toes due to Jaxson Dart’s fast growth in the Giants’ OTA, Russell Wilson replied:
I constantly stay the course and understand that if I’m the best me, I know how great that is. And so, for me, I always just stay within. I don’t really think about outside.
Russell Wilson is asked if he feels pressure to perform early in the season with Jaxson Dart waiting in the wings:

The sixth day of the OTAs belonged to Wilson. New York media’s Conner Hughes reported that Dart threw multiple interceptions and took sacks while the 36-year-old Wilson threw a touchdown in the 11-on-11 drills.

New Giants safety explains what he has seen so far from Russell Wilson and Jaxson Dart in the OTAs
Giants general manager Joe Schoen had a remarkable offseason by signing Wilson and Winston. He drafted two highly sought-after players in Abdul Carter and Dart and upgraded the secondary by drafting veteran corner Paulson Adebo and safety Jevon Holland.

Holland, in particular, was a big addition that might become the steal of the summer for the Big Blue. The former Dolphin is enjoying life in the Big Apple and feels optimistic about the Giants’ chances in 2025 because of the quarterbacks they boast.
While appearing on the SiriusXM Radio Show, Holland revealed Dart is like a sponge, absorbing every bit of knowledge from Wilson and Winston.
I’m super excited for Jaxson [Dart] because he has two extremely good vets and two individuals who speak life into everybody around them. You have to raise the youth, and I know those two individuals are going to raise Jaxson into a great quarterback.

Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll traded with the Houston Texans to move up to the 25th overall pick during the draft and selected Ole Miss graduate Dart. The 22-year-old played 45 games in college (USC and Ole Miss), throwing 852 completions for 11,970 yards (65.2% completion rate), 81 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions, along with 393 rushes for 1,541 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.
Wilson, meanwhile, led the Pittsburgh Steelers to a wild-card appearance in his first and only season with the AFC North franchise. He completed 214 passes for 2482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions. The Giants gave Wilson a one-year, $10.5 million contract.
