Ryan Clark, former NFL safety, seems to have quite high expectations for Dak Prescott, angering the Dallas Cowboys fans’ Super Bowl aspirations with the quarterback. He believes that the quarterback needs to be extraordinary to prevent his team from struggling on the field.

The team might be standing at 2-2, but Prescott has already recorded over 1,000 yards and six touchdowns. With week 5 approaching, the pressure is mounting on the three-time Pro Bowler to not deliver individually but lead his team to triumph in the upcoming match against the Pittsburgh Steelers, 3-1.

While discussing the Cowboys, sports analyst Clark made some bold statements regarding Prescott’s role in America’s team. He claimed that the Cowboys are not the same team they were last season when they won the NFC East title, and that’s why Prescott must play at the caliber of an MVP.

Dak has to be MVP. Not just for this game, but for this team to win this season. Dak has to play at the same level he did last year, but more, because you don’t have the same people, and you don’t have the run-game. You don’t have the defense that’s turning the football over at a high rate anymore.

With all the conversation about the Cowboys making a mistake by not pursuing Davante Adams, Clark claimed that they don’t need any miracles or additional embellishments– all the Cowboys need is Prescott at his best

Ryan Clark calls for Dak Prescott to embrace hero role as Cowboys face challenges

With both defense and running game compromised, the signal-caller should be nothing less than a superhero for his team, if they want to have any Super Bowl hopes this season. Among the superheroes, Clark suggested that it’s high time that Prescott stepped up as ‘Superman’ for his team.

This whole thought process—you can’t go out there and be Superman. Hey, you don’t gotta be Superman. I need you to be Superman, you are capable. So, giving me this ‘team-first’ and ‘we gotta do it all together’ thing? That’s not the answer I want. The answer I do want? Hell yeah, it’s all on my back!

Ryan Clark added

Clark bluntly asserted that the Cowboys’ quarterback cannot reply to his team, and that’s why it’s his responsibility to show up as a lone wolf on the football field. After all, they signed him a historic record-breaking $60 million per year contract before this season– therefore, he must prove that he is that capable.
