While preparing for the upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys are walking on thin ice with a 3-3 record. The team is grappling with an underwhelming start to the 2024 season, which has attracted a boatload of criticism for the inactive offseason. Amidst the struggle, Ryan Clark believes quarterback Dak Prescott is the one who can turn things around.
A couple of weeks ago, the ESPN analyst urged the three-time Pro Bowler to be “Superman” for his team if they want to keep their Super Bowl aspirations alive. Standing by his previous statement, Clark once again asserted that Prescott needs to play at an MVP level and carry the entire offense on his shoulder to win games, as they move forward.
In the recent episode of ESPN’s Get Up, the former NFL player-turned-analyst expressed his concerns about the current state of the Cowboys. While praising the Cowboys quarterback for his “sense of accountability,” Clark admitted that he is playing below average this season which needs to improve if they aspire to win games.
"If they want to win games, Dak Prescott has to play at an MVP level. He hasn't been close to that."

The dynamics of the Cowboys have shifted significantly since last season as the pressure on the Second team All-Pro has intensified immensely because of the flattered rushing offense.
Ryan Clark holds Dak Prescott accountable for Cowboys’ offensive struggles
Despite recording 1,602 yards with 8 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, and a QBR of 49.2, Clark held Prescott responsible for the lackluster offense of Dallas throughout this season. Having said that, he also believes the only way the America’s team can win games and become playoff contenders like last season, the signal-caller to play at the MVP level.
The sports analyst emphasized that Prescott’s role in the team is crucial, not just for individual games but for the entire season. That’s why he needs to embrace the responsibility that comes with being the highest-paid quarterback in the history of the NFL.
