Ryan Garcia‘s social media antics continue to amaze the boxing world. Currently, KingRy is on the verge of being suspended from boxing, but he is optimistic about his boxing future. Furthermore, Garcia even seems to have squashed his beef with Gervonta Davis. As such, in his most recent social media post, he uploaded photos of Davis but also included his ex-wife Andrea Célina in the post.
Around the beginning of 2024, KingRy split with Celina after the birth of his son. This divorce came as a surprise because he announced the news of his divorce an hour after the birth of his son. Subsequently, he has maintained a good relationship with her and has been co-parenting their children. Amidst his controversial drug test, he has been receiving support from his wife and his rival Davis, and they have appreciated this.

After a long-running rivalry, Davis went head-to-head with Garcia in April of last year. Going into the fight, there was plenty of heat between the two. However, after the fight, which ended with Garcia’s first loss, the two boxers became friendly.
Even when he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) during his fight with Devin Haney, Davis backed his rival. Furthermore, David even suggested that Haney’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, is behind the positive VADA drug test.
Gervonta Davis continues to defend Ryan Garcia
On May 1st, VADA sent out letters to all interested parties, informing them that Ryan Garcia had tested positive for the drug Ostarine. The news quickly spread throughout social media. Subsequently, most people were quick to turn against Garcia, including one of the most prominent names in the sport, Claressa Shields.
Surprisingly, Davis came out in support of Garcia. Davis even had a run-in with Shields over this development on social media. This ultimately resulted in Shields blocking Davis from interacting with her. Furthermore, in an interview with ES News, Davis again proclaimed that he believes Garcia didn’t cheat.
Not only that but after Garcia’s B-Sample test showed he took the PED, some people thought Davis’ attitude would change. Subsequently, this did not happen, and Gervonta Davis stated in a now-deleted tweet that he didn’t cheat. Currently, Garcia’s future in boxing is ambiguous until the NYSAC announces its decision.
