Ryan Garcia recently responded to Mike Tyson’s reported “medical emergency” ahead of his July match against Jake Paul. The fight was already deemed controversial because of the age gap between the fighters. However, Tyson’s reported medical emergency has further raised questions about his health as he prepares to compete in his first professional boxing match in almost two decades. The medical emergency occurred when Tyson was traveling from Miami to Los Angeles via flight.
As such, the former champion began feeling dizzy before the plane took off. Furthermore, people on the flight mentioned that a request for a doctor inside the plane appeared on their screens. Subsequently, after some time, the paramedics arrived at the scene and attended to him. All of this resulted in the flight taking off two hours later, but Tyson’s condition was stabilized. This caused Garcia to offer himself as a substitute for the legendary fighter.

Garcia has a close relationship with both Tyson and Paul and has been spotted with both of them across the years. As such, KingRy had even discussed the prospect of fighting Paul in the future if he could secure a huge payday.
Hence, Tyson’s health condition prompted the young boxer to step up and offer to replace him. Ryan Garcia appears to be quite serious about this since he even posted his DM with Paul. In the message, KingRy directly tells Paul that if he is okay with it and if Tyson can’t fight, he will replace him.

The entire combat sports world is currently waiting for the Tyson vs. Paul fight because of its controversial nature. As such, this caused the news about Tyson’s medical emergency to go viral on social media. Furthermore, several concerns were addressed by Tyson’s representative, who said there was nothing to worry about.
Since the incident occurred inside the plane full of people in public, it was hard to keep it under wraps. Subsequently, Tyson’s representative addressed the situation via a statement with The MMA Hour. In addition, he mentioned that despite the medical emergency the former champion is actually going great.
He also revealed that Mike Tyson felt dizzy and nauseous because of an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. Tyson’s representative also stated that the information about the flight being delayed 2 hours is misinformation.
