Moreover, there were some rumors that Goldberg might join AEW. It came out that he was even in some talks with Tony Khan. However, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed his reason not to join the Jacksonville-based promotion. In fact, the AEW founder even reacted to those statements. Therefore, it has become highly unlikely that the 57-year-old will make his move to AEW. It makes the retirement match aspirations for the former Universal Champion still loom in the clouds of uncertainty.

Goldberg addressed his controversy with Bret Hart

Goldberg and Bret Hart have been at loggerheads for years. The two stars had a match at WCW Starrcade 1999. It was the night when the WCW Icon accidentally hit The Hitman with a brutal kick. There has been animosity between the two stars ever since. Recently, the former WWE superstar spoke about Hart and took some shots at him.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, the WWE Hall of Famer stated that he never ever wished ill for his opponents throughout his career. Whatever happened, it was unintentional, and he himself took responsibility for it. He asked the Hitman to let bygones be bygones, stop acting like a “p*ick,” and be mature.

To have an accident like that happen and end someone’s career, especially someone who’s one of the best that ever was, 100 percent, it su*ks. I’m not asking anybody to understand it, I’m just saying leave me alone. It is what it is, come on, man. I love you, Bret, don’t be such a pr***, that’s all. Grow up,

Moreover, the former Universal Champion also praised Hart’s talent. He wished that the Excellence of Execution would forgive him. For context, the legit kick by the WCW Legend played a crucial role in ending the illustrious career of the Canadian Superstar.
