Limited pediatric surgical facilities in the North East

Dr Vijay Anand Ismael, a Paediatric Surgeon of Makunda hospital, shares that he is grateful to Tendulkar for the initiative his foundation has taken. Dr Ismael adds that pediatric surgical facilities are very scarce in the North East region of the country. And this move will save hundreds to innocent lives. The Makunda hospital is the main pediatric surgical facility of entire Northeast India and they get patients from all over the region.

We are very thankful to Sachin Tendulkar’s foundation. We receive a lot of very rare cases and the pediatric surgical facilities in the North East are very limited.
