Hearing what Samantha Irvin went through is downright gut-wrenching. Most of the wrestling fans adore her for what she brings to the table—a sonorous cadence. The conviction with which she announces on WWE shows is second to none. She doesn’t doubt herself, a trait that she was imbued with by her late mother, who ended her life in 2018.
Paying a heartfelt tribute to her mom, Irvin took to X. The latter mourned her mother’s passing, which was a su*cide, at a point when Samantha’s daughter was merely three months old. The Raw announcer further elucidated how she’s struggled with decision-making, as Irvin used to run every idea through her mom. Apart from that, the deceased soul was her daughter’s first teacher, someone who introduced Samantha to music.
But despite being a melomaniac, Irvin’s mom was mentally ill. As a child, Samantha used to convince her mother that life’s worth living. All that wasn’t enough to avert the catastrophe that shook the WWE figure to her core when her mother died. But she did embolden her daughter while she was alive, and that resonates in Samantha’s personality.
Samantha Irvin was brought into WWE to be a voice for the company’s defunct 205 live brand. After a short stint over there, she called her shot on NXT. By the beginning of 2022, she was promoted to SmackDown. That’s when the ball really started rolling.
She developed a unique way of introducing WWE Superstars that the fans picked up quickly. Her intro of Chelsea Green was the one that stood out. With each passing week, she’s adding new wrinkles to her repertoire. Who could ever forget how a teary-eyed Irvin announced the coronation of Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL?
Samantha Irvin’s recitation of the national anthem lit up the NFL haven last week
This past Sunday, the Raiders were up against the Steelers at the Allegiant Stadium, which’s going to host WrestleMania next year. WWE ensured its presence in the NFL clash as they sent Samantha Irvin to Las Vegas alongside Titus O’Neil and Rey Mysterio.
What’s more fascinating is that Samantha got the opportunity to sing the national anthem before the game got underway. Former AEW Women’s Champion Britt Baker was also in attendance.
She was mesmerized by Irvin’s melodious recitation of the country’s anthem. Baker even posted Irvin on her Instagram Stories while the latter was performing. The fans appreciated Britt for not holding back on her affection for the WWE fame.
