Last week on Raw, Sami Zayn had a massive chip on his shoulders. He couldn’t afford to go down in front of his own people in Montreal. The last time he graced the Bell Center was back at the Elimination Chamber in 2023. And despite a hostile ambience for his then-opponent Roman Reigns, the latter edged past the hometown hero. However, Sami did not drop the ball this time around.
He thwarted off a spirited Chad Gable to retain his Intercontinental Championship. However, after being shunned by the champ, Gable snapped and turned on Sami Zayn. The 2012 US Olympian mauled the former Honorary Uce in front of his wife Khadijah and fellow Canucks. After being quiet the entire week, Sami has finally broken the ice. He took to X and rebuffed Chad’s underhanded tactics.
But it does appear like Chad Gable is only going to add to Zayn’s woes. The 38-year-old is expected to form an unholy union with The Creed Brothers, as reported by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. For the unversed, the Creeds, Julius and Brutus, helped Gable train ahead of last week’s title showdown against Sami.

And now, the three of them might join forces. Tonight’s Raw could play host to their debut as a trio. There’s no word on whether Master Gable will cut his ties with the rest of The Alpha Academy if he does side with Creeds.
Nonetheless, the differences between Zayn and Gable seem far from over. Things are expected to escalate even further, especially after last week’s ending on Raw. The former Shorty G channeling that ruthless side of his would be a sight to behold.
Sami Zayn might have a confrontation on the cards with Gunther as well
If Sami Zayn has ongoing discord with Chad Gable, what’s going down on Raw this week would not fascinate him, to say the least. Having said that, Gunther has been announced to be making his return to the show.
It would be The Ring General’s first appearance on the red brand since his loss at WrestleMania XL. At the 666-day mark of his record-breaking Intercontinental title reign, the Austrian met his match in The Great Liberator. Needless to say, he’d hellbent on regaining the working man’s strap.
Not to forget that Gunther’s arch-nemesis, Sheamus, is already back in the grind. The Celtic Warrior has been clamoring to go after the Imperium leader one more time. It’s shaping up to be an interesting story.
