This past Sunday, the NBA shocked the sporting world with a massive trade. The Dallas Mavericks gave away superstar Luka Doncic in exchange for Anthony Davis from the Los Angeles Lakers. World No.1 golfer Scottie Scheffler on Wednesday admitted to being left sad and confused by this.
The news came out on Sunday morning, a few hours after the Lakers registered a victory over the New York Giants. In this trade deal, the Mavericks gave away Max Christie and a 2029 first-round pick to acquire Maxi Kleber and Markieff Morris as well.
As per reports, a few days before this trade deal, Luka Doncic had spent around $15 million on a house in Dallas. Following the news of trade, he was left stunned and even cried a bit.
Luka "apparently cried" after finding out he was traded to LA and also bought a $15M house in Dallas "like last week" 🥺

Scheffler has hoped that the Mavericks have some plan now after trading the 5-time NBA All-Star. At the moment, they are 50-32 for the season while sitting fifth in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Lakers and their superstar LeBron James are seventh with a 47-35 record.
Scottie Scheffler labels a WM Phoenix Open a “special week”
This week Scottie Scheffler will make his second start of the 2025 season. Following a freak injury during Christmas, Scheffler was sidelined for a month. He made his first start of the campaign at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last week where he finished T9. Ahead of the WM Phoenix Open, the 28-year-old has labeled it as a “special week”.
Scheffler won this event twice in a row in 2022 and 2023. The 2022 triumph was his first PGA Tour victory as well. Last year, he was looking for a three-peat but fell short as Nick Taylor clinched the title.
When it comes to fan experience, the WM Phoenix Open at the TPC Scottsdale in Arizona is considered one of the best. Speaking regarding the event in the press conference, Scheffler reflected on his previous triumphs and the fan following of this event.

For the first round, Scheffler has been paired up with Tom Kim and Max Homa. The group will tee off from the 1st tee at 2:44 p.m. ET. Unlike the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, this event does have a cut and a full playing field.
