Patrick Mahomes made his first public appearance during the opening day media sessions after the AFC Championship game. As he is gearing up or Super Bowl LIX, the past few days have been a distraction for the Texas native as news concerning Luka Doncic hit him.
He was another sporting celebrity who believed the news of the Slovenian superstar moving to the Los Angeles Lakers was fake. But when ESPN Insider Shams Charania doubled down on his first tweet to confirm that the Mavericks had indeed sent their 25-year-old All-NBA guard to the West, it began to hit Mahomes.
He shared his feelings on social media as he was a big fan of Luka Doncic. During last season’s run to the NBA Finals, Mahomes and his wife Brittany were seen courtside cheering their Dallas Mavericks on. With that in mind, reporters at the Super Bowl LIX media session asked him about his true feelings.
As a Dallas fan, it hurts me. But I’m happy for him that he’s going to be able to go out there and be in Los Angeles and try to achieve his dream of winning a championship. He did so much, not just for the basketball team, but for the city of Dallas. So, I’ll always be appreciative of those years.

Patrick Mahomes is happy that the Dallas Mavericks got back an important piece in Anthony Davis. He is excited to see how Davis teams up with the rest of the squad in their quest for an NBA title. The Chiefs QB will be there courtside after his season ends this Sunday.
Patrick Mahomes autographs dad-bod pillow
Patrick Mahomes will have to keep his disappointment for the Dallas Mavericks in check, at least until the Super Bowl LIX ends. To help him take a break and laugh a little, someone tossed the three-time Super Bowl MVP a pillow.

C’mon bro! Hey the Dad Bod looks pretty good right there, I’m going to sign this side for sure.

At first, he was dismayed that the fan had printed a picture of his dad bod on to the pillow. Then he realized it was not a bad picture and proceeded to autograph it. That back-and-forth with the fan helped the 29-year-old QB break into a chuckle.

That dad bod will look to script history against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. With the depth of pass rushers on the Eagles, that dad bod will face a lot of pressure. The Eagles know that they have to disrupt that Kansas City Chiefs’ offense if they are to stand a chance.
