Is it over for Randy Orton after being piledrived by Kevin Owens two weeks ago on SmackDown? Some might think so. Especially with the litany of back issues that he’s had over the years. Speaking on the same, one of Orton’s former rivals, Seth Rollins, recently broke the ice on The Viper’s latest injury scare. At first, Rollins said it’s out of his jurisdiction to comment.

However, The Visionary told SI’s Fantasy Dirt that Randy doesn’t have a healthy spine. He alluded to the spinal fusion surgery that Orton had back in 2022 that relegated him to the sidelines for 18 months. However, ruling out a premature retirement for The Apex Predator, Seth confirmed that the 44-year-old legend will indeed be back.

What Owens did to Randy doesn’t make Rollins believe that Orton’s done for. In WWE’s medical jargon, The Legend Killer suffered cervical cord neurapraxia owing to Kevin hitting him with a piledriver—a move that’s been outlawed in the company for the last 20 years. As a result, the St. Louis native was rushed to the hospital. He’d be out indefinitely.

I do know this. Randy does not have a healthy spine. Obviously, he had surgery on it. I think, on his lower back. So, hopefully, Randy is not too injured. He’ll be back soon.

However, Orton’s expected back at some point. Maybe he’s had enough this year and is slated to return in 2025 only. Whenever he does come back, he’ll be out on the hunt for The Prizefighter. Their previously sanctioned match at Crown Jewel couldn’t even get underway.

Owens made sure Randy didn’t go out of Riyadh on his own legs. In fact, The Viper had to be carried out of the arena after Kevin drove an elbow through his heart. Triple H had already warned his former Evolution member to be wary of the consequences of a ticked-off KO coming at him.

What transpired during the Kevin Owens-Cody Rhodes segment on SmackDown?

After weeks of hide and seek, Kevin Owens finally came face-to-face with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. Having shared mutual respect for each other in the past, it all ended after Bad Blood. In the parking lot, The Prizefighter took out the Undisputed WWE Champion when the cameras weren’t even rolling.

And during their latest faceoff, Owens verbally unloaded on Rhodes, saying he’s the one to blame for Randy Orton‘s fate. Kevin reprimanded Cody for teaming up with Roman Reigns. The latter’s someone whom Owens went to war with so that Rhodes could become a WWE Champion one day.

But the Canadian reached his boiling point seeing Cody join forces with Roman, who made Owens’ life a living hell with Bloodline. At the end of their war of words, Rhodes and Kevin agreed to a future match, with a destination yet to be named.
