Again, Seth Rollins hit at Roman Reigns‘ long-standing trauma over The Shield’s betrayal. It’s well known in the WWE Universe that the one moment that truly shook The Tribal Chief was the breakup of his beloved faction. On the go-home edition of Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania, Rollins reopened those old wounds, reminding fans—and Reigns—of that unforgettable betrayal.
During the main event of Raw, chaos erupted as Rollins, Reigns, and CM Punk engaged in a wild brawl. Just when The Tribal Chief began to take control, The Visionary returned with a steel chair in hand. Without hesitation, Rollins drove it into Reigns’ back—echoing the moment he shattered The Shield. The message was clear: he broke Roman once, and he plans to do it again at WrestleMania.
Moreover, this chair shot was a direct callback to WrestleMania XL—where, instead of attacking Cody Rhodes, Reigns turned the chair on Rollins. That moment ultimately cost him the Undisputed WWE Championship, making The Architect the catalyst for The Tribal Chief’s downfall once again. Now, all eyes are on WrestleMania, where their paths will collide once more on the grand stage.

Furthermore, Seth Rollins has called the Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania a battle for the soul of WWE. He believes it’s his responsibility to protect the company from the likes of Roman Reigns and CM Punk. For The OTC, however, it’s a fight for redemption—a chance to rise above a year marked by setbacks. With the stakes this high, it’ll be intriguing to see what Triple H has planned for them in Las Vegas.
Before the attack, Seth Rollins tried to manipulate Roman Reigns
Seth Rollins has long been one of the craftiest manipulators in WWE history. Using the power of his words, he’s carved a path to the top. On tonight’s Raw, The Visionary set his sights on Roman Reigns. Rollins called out Paul Heyman, questioning his loyalty by claiming the Wiseman is now willingly siding with CM Punk, casting doubt over his allegiance to The OTC.

The Architect believes Heyman has some underlying plans for Reigns that could be revealed at WrestleMania. He added that The Wiseman could have easily denied Punk and could have chosen to side with The OTC. However, he “chose” to join The Best in the World as a part of a well-figured plan that the former Undisputed WWE Champion is unaware of.

This statement left the OG Bloodline member questioning who he could trust ahead of WrestleMania. This kicked off an unhinged version of Roman Reigns that took out Rollins and then moved his attention to Paul Heyman. He even went on to push him out of the scene, marking that The Head of the Table no longer trusts the WWE Hall of Famer.
Roman Reigns expresses major WWE regret ahead of WrestleMania 41
Roman Reigns is on a path of redemption in WWE. Since losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes last year, The OTC has been working to regain his momentum. Ahead of his Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania, the 39-year-old opened up about the major regrets he carries from his WWE career.

In a video shared on X, Roman Reigns reflected on how drastically his life has changed in just a year. He said he trusted everyone and always lifted others up without expecting anything in return—yet people repeatedly misunderstood him.
I tried to help everyone. Most of them don’t understand what a helping hand really looks like. What that really feels like. What do I get for it?

Now, with determination in his eyes, Reigns believes he has finally learned his lesson. Throughout his career, the former Shield member has endured betrayal after betrayal from the likes of Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso to Seth Rollins, each turning on him time and again.
