The 2025 Royal Rumble PLE left fans with even more conundrums than there previously were. Some of WWE’s top stars, including Seth Rollins, are yet to embark on a decisive feud that would culminate at WrestleMania 41. Having said that, The Visionary spoke his mind while speaking on The Ric Eisen Show.
If he were to choose, who is he going to take on at The Grandest Stage of Them All? It’d be Cody Rhodes. Reminding everyone how he sacrificed himself for Rhodes’ triumph over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL, Seth is now aiming to take the Undisputed WWE title off Cody. As per Rollins, that’d be so poetic.
The Architect alluded to his forgettable 0-3 win/loss record against The American Nightmare. As a matter of fact, the former AEW EVP stole a thunder over WWE’s seasoned vet back at WrestleMania 38. They wrestled a couple more times, one at Backlash, and ended their trilogy inside Hell in a Cell. The latter is widely acclaimed for Cody’s heroics of competing with a torn pec.
Nonetheless, the bottom line is that Rollins still hasn’t been able to pin Rhodes since his return to WWE. And Seth’s gunning to change that. The past month has arguably been one of the worst starts to a year for Rollins. On the Netflix premiere of Raw, the 38-year-old fell short against CM Punk.
Deeming it as his most embarrassing WWE loss, the Chicago Bears fanatic vowed to make up for it at Royal Rumble. However, last Saturday, his loathing of Roman sank both. As they were bickering on the ring apron, Punk seized his opportunity and dumped the erstwhile Shield members over the top rope.
What is Seth Rollins’ reported direction for WrestleMania 41?
As of this week, the plans could see Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk settle their differences in a triple threat match at WrestleMania, per PWInsider. The seeds for this were planted at the Royal Rumble.
At one point, both Reigns and Rollins were considered for one-on-one bouts against The Second City Saint. However, the landscape has changed. The OTC won’t be competing at the upcoming Elimination Chamber PLE.
Meanwhile, Punk has already qualified for the men’s chamber that’ll determine who’s going to challenge the World Champion that Jey Uso doesn’t pick. Seth is also expected to join a star-studded field inside the chamber, which also features John Cena. The Peacemaker star is one of the favorites to emerge victorious after finishing as a runner-up to Uso at the Rumble.
