Shahid Afridi’s age has been a source for confusion for quite some time. In fact, it has been around ever since his debut when he broke into the scene as a supposed 16-year-old by scoring the fastest century in ODI history. According to the official records from the International Cricket Council (ICC), Afridi’s age is registered as 41. However, Afridi had stated in autobiography that it was wrong and that he was born in 1975.

He had caused more confusion later by stating that he was 19 when he smashed the fastest hundred. But, if he had been born in 1975, he should have been 20 during the knock. Now, even more confusion has been caused as Afridi has stated that his age is 44 which means he was 18 at the time he scored the hundred. Therefore, as many as four different ages have been stated at different times and it continues to remain unclear as to what his actual age is.
