Shannon Sharpe and Gilbert Arenas worry for Clippers as they face ‘owner’ Luka Doncic in first-round playoffs
Luka Doncic always seems to turn up against the Los Angeles Clippers.

On the “Nightcap” show, Gilbert Arenas and Shannon Sharpe talked about the Los Angeles Clippers and their upcoming first-round playoff games against the Dallas Mavericks. With the Mavericks’ star player Luka Doncic hitting top gear, the Clippers should be wary of him as he takes his game like two gears up when he faces them.
Luka Doncic has a thing for the Clippers: whenever he faces them, he tends to be transformed and plays like his life depends on it. However, the Clippers have been able to triumph the last two times they met. But, that has been in the past, as the current form of Luka Doncic made Agent Zero and Shannon Sharpe believe that he owns the Clippers.
Luka owns them… I mean, last ten games alone, he’s averaged 37 against them. If the Clippers wanna get out of this series… I’m gonna throw a double at him. They can win four games, and if they get to the second round, they can win one.Gilbert Arenas said
The Mavs, led by Doncic, took PG and Kawhi to seven games the last time they met, although Doncic gave his all in both games. Against the LA Clippers, he has averaged 32.6 PPG, 8.3 RPG, and 7.4 APG in the 18 games he’s played against them. Also, he has scored 42 points and above in each of his top ten games against them, which is why he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Furthermore, Doncic doesn’t have to bear the offensive responsibility alone, as his partnership with Kyrie Irving has led to one of the league’s deadliest duos. And as Doncic said, adding ‘Uncle Drew’ is a positive step for the Mavs as he knows how to win a championship.
Allen Iverson names Luka Doncic as the next face of the NBA
The debate on the next face of the NBA has had a new voice as Allen Iverson picked Luka Doncic as the next star to take the mantle from the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Steph Curry. He responded to Kendrick Perkins while a guest on ESPN’s NBA Today.
Luka is crazy, man. His skill set is just ridiculous. This guy is scoring 70, man. Like, it's so wide open. If you beat your man, then where’s the help? The center, a lot of times is not staying under the basket. It's just hard to guard Luka one-on-one.Allen Iverson said
Other top contenders for the position include the Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, who has also received previous commendations, and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. However, Doncic has been tremendous this season and has been a strong MVP contender who is averaging 33.9 points, 9.8 assists and 9.2 rebounds per game across 70 games this season.
His efforts have seen the Mavericks win 50 games for the second time in three seasons and sit 5th in the hotly contested Western Conference. However, the major test would come when he faces the LA Clippers and if Gilbert Arenas is correct, he can prove he really owns them.
