The Netflix era of Raw kicked off strong with the first episode on January 6th, 2025. Now, WWE will aim to continue their hot streak and put on banger matches each week for the audience at home. The man best suited for this job is none other than Sheamus, who recently sent a message to his opponent, Ludwig Kaiser.

Sheamus posted a photo of himself on X, where he could be seen shirtless, flexing his abs and muscles. Furthermore, he looked livid in this picture. Ahead of his first match on Netflix, he also sent a warning to Ludwig Kaiser and declared the beginning of the Banger era.

In fact, these three superstars even had a triple-threat match for the IC title at Survivor Series. This match was heavily praised by the fans.

Sheamus opens up about his sudden weight gain after returning from injury

Sheamus returned to WWE in early 2024 after battling an injury. Naturally, he was not as fit as he used to be, and many fans trolled him for it. Even Drew McIntyre called him out for this on an episode of Raw and made the infamous “burger after burger” joke during their promo

During a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, The Great White was asked about his return and the accompanying weight gain. At the time, it was said that Sheamus was called for his return way too early. Thus, he did not have time to get back into shape prior to appearing on WWE programming once again.

I was hoping to make it at Mania. But when that didn’t happen, I kinda lost my discipline and took my foot off the gas.

During this podcast, Sheamus took full responsibility for his physical conditioning. He had hoped for a WrestleMania XL return. However, when that did not happen, he did not have much motivation to keep pushing. Thus, he did not lose the extra pounds prior to returning and was trolled heavily on social media.
