“Admire his bonding with all players,” Shikhar Dhawan expresses his admiration for Rohit Sharma

On 24^th August, Shikhar Dhawan stepped down from international and domestic cricket, once and for all. In his emotional and heartfelt farewell note, he thanked his coaches, family and fans for their endless support. Dhawan who is hailed as one of the finest openers in Indian cricket, shared quite a few significant stands with Rohit Sharma for the opening partnership.

Dhawan himself is a fun-loving individual, and always admired his teammates for their might and excellence. He shared a very close bond with the current Indian captain in ODIs and Tests, Rohit Sharma. Apart from being an opening partner to Sharma, Dhawan is also great friends with the Hitman.

I admire Rohit Sharma's bonding with all players. The way he brings all the players together & takes forward together with great bonding is amazing.

Dhawan forged significant partnerships not just with Sharma but with Virat Kohli as well. The trio were deemed as the terror trident as they shared 103 centuries between them across all formats. Shikhar Dhawan played an instrumental part in the crucial transition phase for Team India when the likes of Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and Gautam Gambhir called it a day.
