Many WWE Superstars have had to look for work elsewhere after the recent rounds of releases. Some releases made sense for the company, as they weren’t on TV or in any storylines. However, one release came as a complete shock in the form of Jinder Mahal. Not only did he recently compete for Seth Rollins‘ World Heavyweight Championship, but he even had a huge segment with The Rock.
After his release, the Modern Day Maharaja talked about his working relationship with the People’s Champion on the Chris Van Vliet podcast. He had received a voice note from the Brahma Bull after their segment. Although it was expected that The Rock was back only for one night, he dropped a hint of his full-time return to the WWE.
Jinder Mahal revealed The People’s Champ started by thanking and appreciating him for his work. Further, he mentioned that he would see a lot more of the Indian-Canadian now that he would be doing things all across the board with WWE. At the time, this message didn’t make much sense to the former US champion. However, after the Brahma Bull’s addition to the board of TKO, the 37-year-old realized what the message meant.
"Yes, he actually kind of left a little bit of an Easter Egg. He sent me a voice note like, 'Thank you, [I] appreciate working with you, and I'll be seeing a lot more of you around now that I'm doing things all across the board with WWE."The Rock to Jinder Mahal
Additionally, the recently released superstar recalled meeting the Hollywood superstar at his hotel a day before the segment. The 37-year-old was highly impressed by the promo script shown to him by The Rock. The People’s Champion also advised the Modern Day Maharaja to take his time, deliver a full promo, and even enjoy himself on the way to the ring.
The Rock makes an appearance at UFL & NASCAR event in Daytona
The UFL and NASCAR seasons recently kicked off at the Daytona International Speedway. Dwayne Johnson made a star appearance at the kickoff event. The People’s Champion was even made Grand Marshal for the 2024 NASCAR season-opening DAYTONA 500.
The 51-year-old talked about how it was a great experience to meet the men and women in the American military. He was taken by the energy and mana he witnessed at the event. The Great One also gave the command in classic Rock-fashion to kick off the race.

The event also saw Johnson do a meet-and-greet with several of his fans. The Hollywood superstar has dipped his hands in many sports apart from professional wrestling. He was the co-owner of the now-defunct XFL and still owns a part of the UFL.
