After losing 3 consecutive games, the Toronto Maple Leafs entered the game on Monday night, hoping to return back to winning ways against the Utah Hockey Club. During this match, their defenseman Simon Benoit decided to showcase his fighting skills and delivered a superman punch to Michael Kesselring.

The incident took place in the second period when the Toronto Maple Leafs were leading the game 3-0. Benoit, who had scored in the second period to give his team a 3-0 lead, decided to throw down his gloves and get into a fight with Kesselring.

As the two of them got ready for the fight, the Maple Leafs star decided to surprise his opponent. He would go airborne and delivered a superman punch on Kesselring which left him stunned for a moment. He then answered back with some strong punches and left Benoit down on the ice field.

The two players would receive a five-minute major penalty for fighting against each other. The fight though re-energized the hosts.

In a devasting 4-minute spell, the Utah Hockey Club scored three times and leveled the game at 3-3. They eventually took the game to a shootout where they ended up losing as goaltender Joseph Wall made two crucial saves.
