Simone Biles is currently in her vacation time after a tremendous Olympic campaign followed by a tedious gymnastics tour. To accompany her is NFL safety and husband Jonathan Owens strolling around the streets of New York City. Recently, the American gymnast shared glimpses of their trip with her followers on the gram.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens took to New York to surprise Hoda Kotb on her last day on the Today Show. While at it, the two made sure to make the most out of it. The two explored the nooks and corners of the city also making a stop at the New York Knicks vs Oklahoma City Thunder NBA game at Madison Square Garden. Biles shared glimpses of the trip, captioning with a simple location tag.
While the pictures might have ended, their trip did not. Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens followed their NY trip by taking off to Georgia. They were joined by the gymnast’s former coach Cecile Landi hopping on their private jet. The group showed their support to the University of Georgia’s gymnastics team. They cheered on the GymDogs’ season opener for the new year.
This wasn’t the first time Jonathan Owens had attended a gymnastics event for his wife. The Chicago Bears safety left his training camp to be with Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics, where she made her awaited comeback.
That was only the tip of the iceberg as Owens put two and two together to visit her during her Gold Over America Tour as well. The Olympic champion doesn’t fall behind on her support as well with her recurring appearances at NFL games.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens answer who is a ‘better athlete’
Both Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles hail from sports background. Having said that, they know the ins and outs of the athletic life. However, when it comes to who is a better athlete, the two are pretty much clear.
After Simone Biles was awarded the Sportsperson of the Year trophy, she and her husband stopped by for a quick interview with Sports Illustrated. The clip posted by the outlet featured a couple’s Q&A with interesting questions, one inquiring about the better athlete among the two. With no hesitation, the NFL safety crowned the tag to Simone Biles.

Owens called backflips strictly a no-zone for him. As for the attentive part, it was Owens by a mile, considering the deteriorating attention span of Biles when watching an NFL match. But it’s the thought that counts for the Bears athlete.
