Simone Biles made a stop in Milwaukee during her ongoing second edition of the Gold Over America Tour. It was not too far away from husband Jonathan Owens‘ NFL team ground where they will be hosting the Los Angeles Rams on September 28. Taking advantage of that, the Chicago Bears safety pulled up at the American gymnasts’ place to surprise her.
Biles took to Instagram to share the tidbits of husband Owens’ surprise. The NFL star drew up at her tour’s location with a heart-shaped bouquet of yellow and red roses. Biles was in awe of him and shared it on social media with a heartfelt caption. In another Instagram story, Owens could be seen learning their dance routines from fellow gymnast Jordan Chiles.
The Gold Over America Tour has taken its eighth stop at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. It is approximately 100 miles from where the Bears will face the Rams in an upcoming NFL match. This is not the first time the Bears safety has made a grand gesture in support of Biles. Previously, he even missed the Hall of Fame Game to attend the Paris Olympics, where Biles had an exceptional campaign.
Biles and Owens tied the knot in April last year. Since then, their work commitments have had them be in a long-distance relationship for the most part. Biles has made several appearances at Owens’ games when he played with the Green Bay Packers and later when he moved to the Bears.
Simone Biles has a new Jonathan Owens tattoo
Simone Biles recently got herself some new ink. The American gymnast took the liberty to get two tattoos, with one of them — a ‘J’ on her ring finger ùbeing a tribute to her husband Jonathan Owens.
Biles posted a picture of herself getting the tattoo done by Arizona artist Sydney Smith after her show on Tuesday (September 24) night. Besides her Owens tattoo, she also got a ‘made in heaven’ tattoo on the back of her neck. The tattoo took 90 minutes to complete, as told by the artist to TMZ.
With the long-distance relationship going strong, Biles will now have a piece of the Bears’ safety every time she performs. After the Paris Olympics, she wasted no time in getting her Gold Over America Tour going. The 30-stop gymnastics tour will conclude on November 3.
