In a recent rant on Twitter, former UFC Lightheavyweight champion, Jon Jones discussed his daughter’s dangerous encounter with a bobcat after a snowstorm in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jones is scheduled to return at UFC 285 against Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight championship.

After his rant and discussion over the dangerous incident, Jones posted a tweet to express gratitude. However, the series of tweets were not taken well by UFC middleweight, Sean Strickland. The fighter went on a completely different rant about Jones in reply to his tweets.

After his victory over Nassouroudine Imavov at UFC Fight Night, Sean Strickland appeared in an interview at MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. The UFC middleweight started off the interview in his generally awkward style and appreciated Ariel Helwani’s contribution to MMA journalism.

However, the interview got heated after Strickland started calling Helwani a ‘beta male’ after implying accusations of instigation. Strickland also questioned Ariel Helwani’s love and commitment to the sport of MMA. “I don’t think you are a big MMA fan,” Strickland told Ariel.

Bro I was at the bar watching MMA when you were in your father’s nutsack when you didn’t know what MMA was. I was doing a radio show at Syracuse University in 2001. You were in fourth grade when I was talking about MMA. I was at the frontiers covering and fighting for the sport before you even knew what it stood for,” Ariel Helwani went on a furious rant to shut down Strickland.

Listening to Ariel’s rant, the UFC middleweight fighter also slowed down and respectfully acknowledged Ariel’s contribution to the sport and its coverage in recent years. This, however, was not the first time Ariel Helwani was accused of instigation by fighters. Previously, Joe Rogan, Dana White, and Rampage Jackson have also slammed Helwani for inciting fire and drama within fighters and sometimes with the promotion.
