Solo Sikoa proved the WWE Universe wrong by pinning Cody Rhodes in the main event at Money in the Bank PLE. He, along with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, defeated the babyface trio of Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens in a six-man tag team match. Now, after winning the match, the 31-year-old star took another shot at Roman Reigns.

The Bloodline gathered backstage for an exclusive interview after closing out the show. When Jackie Redmond asked Solo Sikoa to evaluate his enforcer Jacob Fatu‘s performance, he indirectly mocked Roman Reigns. In response to her question, he simply uttered the words “Acknowledge Me” and moved on.

All the fans who were expecting the former Shield member to show up at Money in the Bank were left disappointed. He was at his father’s funeral, where Paul Heyman was also seen in the background in one picture. Speaking of the match, the babyface trio gained control early on, focusing their attacks on Tama Tonga.

However, whenever it looked like Rhodes and Co. could win the match, Fatu came in and neutralized all of them. In the final moments of the match, as The American Nightmare attempted Cross Rhodes on Solo, The Samoan Werewolf countered with Whisper in the Wind, allowing the new Tribal Chief to secure the win with a Samoan Spike. It will be interesting to see Reigns’ reaction after Sikoa declared war against him.

Solo Sikoa becomes just the fourth man to pin Cody Rhodes after his return to WWE

Since his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes has been the undisputed face of the company. In those two years, he rarely lost matches and was pinned by very few wrestlers, which was a unique statistic in its own right. With Solo pinning The American Nightmare, he became just the fourth man to do so.

Two out of four of Rhodes’ losses came at WrestleMania. His first loss was against Reigns at WrestleMania 39. The American Nightmare was so close to becoming the world champion, but Solo’s interference once again proved crucial in preventing his story from reaching its conclusion.

His second loss came against Drew McIntyre on the February 19 episode of Raw. The current world champion’s third loss came on night one of WrestleMania XL, when The Rock pinned him in a tag team match. And last but certainly not least, the 31-year-old Sikoa became the fourth man to pin him after his return.
