On the latest episode of SmackDown, Kevin Owens continues his never-ending rivalry with The Bloodline. The former Universal Champion squared off against Solo Sikoa in the main event. After a hard-hitting encounter, The Enforcer emerged victorious. Moments later, The Bloodline duo of Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attacked Owens. As the trio prepared to deliver the Shield Powerbomb, Randy Orton returned to make the save.
The Viper unleashed a beatdown on the faction and stood tall with his friend to end the show. Following the shocking turn of events, Sikoa sent a message to Orton. As he and his cousins walked back, The Tribal Heir warned the future HOF’er to stay away from The Bloodline, hinting that the consequences would be brutal if he didn’t.
The last time Randy Orton appeared on WWE programming was at the King and Queen of the Ring PLE. The fourteen-time world champion lost in the King of the Ring finals in a controversial manner. Although a rematch between him and the winner, Gunther, had been teased, it seems that it won’t be taking place soon. Instead, Orton will be working alongside Kevin Owens as the duo’s feud with The Bloodline continues.
At Backlash, the pair teamed up to face Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga. However, they were stopped in their tracks by the debuting Tonga Loa, who helped the faction pick up the win. The new Head of the Table has certainly been running things behind the absent Roman Reigns‘ back, and it seems he has bigger things in mind.
Solo Sikoa reportedly in line to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title
With Solo Sikoa at the helm of The Bloodline, it’s only a matter of time before he goes after the biggest prize on SmackDown. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is preparing The Enforcer for a showdown with the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.
A few weeks ago, Sikoa revealed that he had been keeping The American Nightmare “in check.” Therefore, the former NXT North American Champion may be next in line to face Rhodes after Clash at the Castle. Moreover, if the match does end up happening, it sets up the return of Roman Reigns.
Since WrestleMania, The Tribal Heir has been making crucial decisions behind the leader of The Bloodline’s back. Needless to say, Sikoa challenging Rhodes for the same title Reigns held for a record-breaking 1,316 days won’t sit well with him. Hence, it’ll be interesting to see how things play out for the faction once he returns to WWE.
