The latest episode of SmackDown continued the feud between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa alongside the rest of the Bloodline. The OTC was incredibly close to retrieving his lei last week. However, he was unable to do so. The former NXT North American Champion dared him to come out and take the garland from him once again.

Reigns made his entrance and started trading punches with Solo Sikoa as the crowd went ballistic. The former WWE Undisputed Champion took down his foe with a jumping lariat before being attacked from behind by Tama Tonga. However, he was no match for the 39-year-old.

Roman Reigns landed a Superman punch and spear on Sikoa. He retrieved his lei and put it on, seeming highly satisfied. However, he was blindsided by a returning Jacob Fatu, who knocked him out with a superkick. He sent the OTC crashing into the ring post and hit him with a rear attack.

The Bloodline then put Reigns through the announce table with a triple powerbomb. This was highly reminiscent of the faction taking out Paul Heyman. Poetically, this was the same move that the 39-year-old used during his days in the Shield.

The Samoan faction dragged their opponent into the ring and stood tall above him as the show went off the air. Jacob Fatu was rumored to have injured himself during the main event of SummerSlam. However, his return at this show perhaps meant that the injury was not as serious as many thought.

Paul Heyman claims that the next chapter for Roman Reigns will put the last one to shame

Paul Heyman is one of the masterminds behind the entire Bloodline story. In an interview with Newsweek, the Hall of Famer talked about the future of this story and where it could lead. He pointed out how the WWE Universe had not seen Reigns without the WWE Undisputed Championship throughout his most recent run. However, the fans have now entered a new era.

Paul Heyman claimed that it would be highly interesting to see how Reigns corrects that and takes back the mantle of Tribal Chief without currently being the top champion in the company. He does not have the support of the Usos or the Wiseman at the moment. His journey of going through these motions alone is going to be highly compelling.

Is this a revenge yarn like an old spaghetti western where one man goes back, cleans up the village and gets his revenge? Or, it is a revenge yarn where he can't do it by himself, even if he has to? What are the twists and turns that happen then?

Heyman said that there are several trajectories they could take with the storyline. The upcoming chapters in the story would be fascinating, and he hopes to put the last four years of work to shame.
