It looks like Stephen A. Smith and Jaylen Brown are not ending their beef anytime soon. The two have been at it with each other over the past few months and are back at it.
Over the last few years, several players have been calling out the mainstream media for creating narratives and spreading misinformation. Hence, many of them have started their own podcasts so that players can share their narratives directly with fans.
During a recent event in France, Brown took shots at Smith and ESPN for being unethical. His comments did not go down well with the journalist, who responded strongly on his podcast.
He’s getting on my last damn nerve, I ain’t going to lie. I mean, he’s so full of s–t I want to throw up. Suddenly we’re unethical? Because we’re telling you how your comments came across? No wonder your a** is in France. You can’t deal with the heat here in America and justify the way that you’ve acted since you got bounced out of the playoffs. Nobody’s done anything to you, Jaylen Brown.

Jaylen Brown has been in the spotlight recently, as it was reported that the Boston Celtics included him in a trade package for Giannis Antetokounmpo. While Antetokounmpo ended up getting traded to the Miami Heat, it has raised questions about Brown’s future in Boston after an incredible individual 2025-26 campaign.
Last month, Stephen A. Smith called out Brown for criticizing the officiating after getting eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. The Celtics forward responded to Smith by asking him to retire from his job. And after their latest comments, it looks like their rift is not ending anytime soon.
Jaylen Brown calls ESPN ‘unethical’ after Stephen A. Smith feud
The tensions between Jaylen Brown and Stephen A. Smith have been growing for a while. After the Celtics were beaten in the first round, Smith said Brown should “be quiet” and “go on vacation” after the former Finals MVP called the last season his favorite season since stepping into the NBA. The two have been going back and forth nonstop since.
Brown targeted Smith once again in an event at Sport Beach in Cannes, France, on Wednesday.
ESPN is unethical, and Stephen A. Smith is the head face of that. The organization, the players, they were all in agreeaance. They all knew what I meant by that. Our team was basically salary dumped. We lost a lot of players. For us to emerge and still be in the same position.

With those statements, it was clear that Brown was targeting Smith at the event. While Smith did not hold back in his response, he even challenged Brown to a debate on his podcast in the near future.
Boston Celtics have been disrespectful to Jaylen Brown
It is quite shocking to see that the Celtics are willing to trade Jaylen Brown after the season he just had. With Jayson Tatum ruled out for the majority of the regular season and most of the players from the 2024 championship squad traded away, Brown led the Celtics to a second-place finish in the Eastern Conference.

Former NBA champion Danny Green felt the Celtics have been disrespectful to their star player after everything he has done for them.
I’m not even that type of person, but y’all can kick rocks, bro. Fu*k out of here. I’m gone. I’m cool. Y’all don’t want me, I’m cool. Like, not only did it not fall through, but they’re still talking about we’re still entertaining idea. Like right now, they’re still entertaining trades, there is no more Giannis out there on the table.

It has been reported that the Celtics are still looking to trade away Brown in the offseason. Once Brown is back in the U.S after his vacation, there will be some difficult conversations between the player and the club.
