It is important for each person to have a set of hobbies that they enjoy doing in order to keep their mind refreshed. Over time, one can get good at their respective hobby, but in most instances, people pick activities that they enjoy doing as their hobbies, even though they may not necessarily be great at them. For Darren Waller, the tight end of the New York Giants, his ‘hobby’ is singing.
Waller recently split up from Kelsey Plum, his wife of one year. He seems to have channeled all the pain and emotions from that into making a new song. The piece is titled Who Knew (Her perspective) and in the music video, Waller features a model who looks eerily similar to Plum. Clearly, this song is dedicated to her.
It is a romantic gesture, dedicating a song to your ex-wife, but the only problem with Waller’s song is that he is not the best singer. Stephen A. Smith of ESPN reacted to the music video and halfway through, he was done.
Stephen A. Smith was speechless as he listened to Darren Waller’s music video
The analyst, who shares his two cents on the trending matters via the Stephen A. Smith Show, could not help but cringe at it. Smith was facepalming as he heard the song. He yelled at his producers mid-way and begged them to stop playing the song.
Get it out my ear! Yes, I'm screaming at my producers, did you hear how that man sounds? You don't keep something like that in somebody's ear.Stephen A. Smith said
Unfortunately, Darren Waller is not as good at singing as he is at playing football. The tight end made the wise decision of sticking to sports rather than pursuing a career in music. Throughout the video, Waller is seen sharing many moments with the Kelsey Plum lookalike model. Some scenes take place at a picnic table, a scene where she drives off, and a bowling scene.

Things get interesting towards the end when the woman hugs Waller on the beach, but right after proceeds to stab him in his back with a knife. The tight end seems to be alluding that there was some form of backstabbing involved in his relationship which resulted in its untimely end. Waller describes the song as an attempt to portray his divorce from an alternative perspective.
