It wasn’t surprising when Dez Bryant called out Stephen A. Smith after Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky got the better of Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever on Sunday night. Bryant accused the veteran sports analyst of not covering Reese’s payback against Clark.

Reese was on a hot streak against the Fever at home. The Sky’s rookie forward put up 25 points and 16 rebounds, receiving a lot of praise for a change. However, the controversy was lurking around the corner, and it came from a usual source.

Retired NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant, who rarely misses the chance to watch Reese play ball, called out Stephen A. Smith and his colleague Shannon Sharpe after the Sky’s win. The former Dallas Cowboys player hinted that the ESPN contributor remains mum to Reese’s success while they highlight every inch of Clark’s stats.

Stephen A. Smith’s fiery reply to Dez Bryant accusing him of insufficient coverage of Angel Reese’s debut season.

Bryant remained active on X for a while perhaps waiting for a reaction from Smith who wants a pay raise from his bosses at ESPN. In the meantime, he retweeted several comments that he deemed were taking a swipe at him.

One follower, @Tribal Night tried to stir the pot by painting him as a racist bigot. Bryant replied that he was a fan of both Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese.

Eventually, Smith came across the former Baltimore Ravens playmaker’s tweet. Considering the recent history between the two, the 56-year-old did not hold back.

Man, for once, will you stop your B.S. @ShannonSharpe has praised her continuously. So have I, even profiling her excellence on numerous occasions. It’s on our social media pages @stephenasmith. However, the former NFL professional did not back off. Without wasting any time Bryant replied:

Say pimp don’t ever in your life play with me talking about notoriety… I don’t give a fuck about none of that. Don’t get mad at me because I’m calling a spade a spade Y’all pick and chose the end of the story.

Previously, Bryant called out Stephen A. for a boxing match that never took place. The pair even had heated exchanges while Smith once defended colleague Mallika Andrews.
