Golden State Warriors Steph Curry and coach Steve Kerr while on tour with Team USA Basketball at Abu Dhabi spoke about former president Donald Trump’s assassination attempt on Saturday during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The shooting injured two victims and killed one during the rally.
Steph Curry is an outspoken Trump critic, and once refused to visit the White House after his Golden State Warriors won the 2017 NBA championship. He expressed his concerns about the situation when quizzed about it.
Obviously gun control first and foremost, because the fact that that's even possible for somebody to to have an attack like that. But just moreso you want to (see) positivity and hope. A tragic incident with Team USA in Abu Dhabi for their scheduled exhibition games against Australia on July 16 and Serbia on July 18 as they prepare to retain gold in the Olympics.
