Steve Smith names Kohli as the best ODI player and showers praise for ABD

Virat Kohli and Steve Smith are considered to be the best batsmen in the world right now. Irrespective of the match format these two have never failed to impress with the bat. They also have mutual respect for each other.
Kohli asked the Indian fans not to boo and instead clap for Smith during the World Cup which stands as a testimony to the same. They have time and again praised each other for their excellence in batting.

When a fan asked Smith whom he considers as the best ODI player, Smith without any hesitation named Virat Kohli. Kohli is currently the leading run-scorer in ODIs among active cricketers. He has over 11,000 runs and is averaging at 59.21 per match. Kohli has scored 43 centuries. He is just seven centuries away from breaking Sachin’s record for most hundreds in ODI cricket.
Another fan asked Smith to express his opinion about the South African legend AB de Villiers in one word. The former Australian Captain replied ‘Freak’. Smith also praised KL.Rahul and Sanju Samson. He said that KL.Rahul is a ‘Gun Player’. He described Sanju Samson as a talented cricketer. When asked about his Rajasthan Royals teammate Buttler Smith said, “Terrific player. Hopefully, no runs against us this week then he can score as many as he likes in the IPL,”
Smith will join the Rajasthan Royals squad after the one day series against England ends on September 16th
