Lewis and Daniel

Lewis Hamilton the Mercedes Formula one driver is known for sharing quirky moments through his social media handles and recently ahead of the Imola GP the Brit has shared Daniel Ricciardo’s famous “Shoey” celebration that he did during the 2020 edition of the Imola GP.

On that occasion, Lewis Hamilton won the Imola GP and shared the podium with former teammate Valtteri Bottas and current McLaren driver Daniel Ricciardo.

Whenever Ricciardo gets on the podium it is very much expected that the Australian will bring out the Shoey celebration, and that is exactly what he did back in 2020 when he shared the podium with Hamilton and Bottas.

Things were alright till the point Ricciardo was doing the Shoey, however, things got out of hand pretty quickly as Hamilton also decided to jump on the Shoey bandwagon and participated in Ricciardo’s celebration.

Hamilton via his Instagram has shared the Imola moment and in his own hilarious way has written,Still haunts me!!”

Lewis has indicated that it was a one-off celebration with the Australian where he did the Shoey and going forwards is going to shy away if the opportunity arrives again during this weekend’s Imola GP.

The McLaren Formula One team during 2022 has looked a bit off the pace as compared to the others in the midfield, however, during the Australian GP the papaya-colored team was able to pull off a good result that took a lot of people by surprise.

The team was able to score solid 18 points in Melbourne with Lando P5 and Daniel P6. The upcoming race is the Imola GP where the McLaren duo has had good results in the past.

In 2020 Daniel was able to finish P3 whereas during the 2021 edition the Australian managed P6. Imola has been a good hunting ground for Ricciardo and the team during the upcoming weekend would be banking on his experience to get the team a good result in Imola.

If by some miracle Ricciardo is able to get on the podium again in Imola, who knows we might again get the chance to witness the famous Shoey celebration of Daniel Riccardo.
